It's officially S6E1 of "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah," so I blame some oddness involving the new season number.
I'll bet a nickel they stop showing the Sea and Ep when it gets fixed. It can't be wrong it it's not there. It's the new trend. They did that for Late Night.

On last Thursday it was Sea 25 Ep 160. Gracenote agrees with you. Titantv.com says Sea 26, Ep 1. Yeah, there's some confusion.

We really shouldn't have to babysit the guide when we're paying for the service.

It's bad enough that they never fixed Colbert. I told them back in August it was season six coming up in September. Then I complained some more. It's still incorrectly labeled as season five.

Some of the guide quality (incorrectly labeled as new with wrong episode titles) is so bad I ended up removing one of my OnePasses. Only kept it in case the show was renewed.

Just came to the forum to make sure someone posted about The Daily Show this week.

Seems like any service calling it "Season 26" is counting it as having been the same "The Daily Show" series since the days when Craig Kilborn was the host. (I actually have DirecTV, which uses the Gracenote data.)

I saw it late evening when I checked (on my Tivo that regularly records TDS..). my other Tivo DID have TDS guide data so I set a recording there.. but I also made another daily call on the 'affected' Tivo, even though it had called a few hours earlier.. It DID end up fixing itself and recorded as TDS. (I also have a OP for Comedy Central Programming on that Tivo as a 'backup').

As I said before, Tivo REALLY should just MANUALLY (i.e. via a script) skim through the guide data, looking for 'comedy central programming' and 'to be announced', that sort of thing.. to then trigger an intern or something to go bug the network or whoever to provide useful data. (Also, e.g. when a show is clearly 2 hours long but sometimes the tivo data shows it as 24 hours.. how is the even POSSIBLE? Why doesn't the tivo sanity-check the start/end times? Even if it rounds it for a human to half hour chunks or something like that.)

There are SO many of these problems that seemingly could be hugely improved even if done "low tech" like this, by searching through the guide data on their end.
