The Don said that the guys started the season strong and have gotten weaker and weaker. I blame that totally on him. Week after week, the team tells him that Gary is the problem. And week after week, he keeps Gary over someone else. I think he does that because keeping Gary, means higher ratings. People tune in to see what Gary will do next.

I believe that Trump has single-handedly destroyed the mens' team over the past 2-3 weeks that had been doing so well.

If this week had included Mark McGrath instead of Gary, the guys would have won, period.

Very nicely said.
There's also a disclaimer how the producers ultimately have a hand on who really goes.

That being said I thought the men's presentation was better. And I even liked the "raffle" at the end where audience members get a chance to taste the food.

Editing made it look more even than it probably was. At a minimum I bet they cut 5 minutes off of Busey's Father's Day spiel.

Busey's continued presence was definitely a producers' decision. It was time for him to part with the men's team, it was getting to be too much.

HOWEVER, if I had been the producer I would have kept Busey around one more week, but mixed him in with Nene and Star! A new twist on the Busey trainwreck could have milked it for another week.
I agree 100% that it was Busey's time to go, and I 100% understand the men's frustration. But with about 30 minutes to go I started having a bit of a squicky feeling at watching them begin the public beat down.

As someone here (?) once said, Gary is like the slow kid that other kids give $1 to eat bugs. I don't for a moment believe that he is working some great master plan or acting as a saboteur- I don't believe that he is that canny. I think he has enough of a brain left that he can play canny, but the machiavellian thinking is not happening. I think he knows that this is the case but is in enough denial to believe that he is pulling it off.
I think he is irrevocably damaged and that reality shows should quit hiring him for us to laugh at and poke with sharp sticks for our amusement. I think his family should intervene.
It made me uncomfortable.

It's kinda reminiscent of the whole Charlie Sheen thing. It was fun until you realized he was mentally ill. Then it just became cruel.
It was also sad when none of them came out to the reception area to say good bye.
I think I know where this is going, but I pray Star Jones never makes it to be The Apprentice.

The difference for me is that Charlie is in full crazy mode where he completely believes everything he says. And given the right treatment and medication he could conceivably recover.

Gary (IMO) is aware that he is impaired. I can see it in his eyes sometimes that he knows that he has lost it and that knowledge hurts him. He tries to cover it up with bravado and bluster but his eyes give him away IMO.
And there is no hope of recovery.

They are both crazy, and while a certain amount of Gary's problems are likely drug induced and the rest helmet negligence, he is trying the best he can and I feel pity for him.
Charlie not so much.

Yes. I am very much with you on this. Gary has suffered a brain injury resultiing in irreversible damage. And he straddles that very fine line where he knows it. I think it's a shame that people set him up to make a spectacle of him. I think he lacks the judgment to protect himself from those situations.
It was also sad when none of them came out to the reception area to say good bye.
Yes. I didn't know what to make of that. It seems that they like Gary as a person. Maybe they were just avoiding conflict.

Ivanka apparently didn't notice a third typo on the menu: Tartar was misspelled as tarter.

I agree with almost everything you say, except I don't think people would just stop watching if Gary left. I don't know many people who casually watch a show like this and would just stop because somebody got voted off. The people I talk to who watch this show would watch it regardless.

I can't stand her either.
