the blue led is stuck on. How do i turn it off?

My tivo was trying to download hd nation for 4 hours so i stopped the download and tivo locked up. so i rebooted. now the blue led has been stuck on for 20 hours. Will this fix itself? should i reboot again?

When this happens to me I restart the Tivo. This will normally solve the problem.

I've rebooted twice now and still the blue light stays on and it shows it's trying to download HD Nation. Very annoying.
restart with the internet disconected. See if that helps.

I have had tivo transfers lock up like this also....
I reboot all the tivos and re-request the download.
The last part seems to be needed for tivo to figure out it should stop the old download....
Same problem with HD Nation. After trying several things I finally disconnected from the network, rebooted the TiVo and canceled the season pass for HD nation.

Everything is fine for now.

Placing a piece of black tape over the LED will shut it off. If you remove the tape, it'll turn on again.
Same problem here. Rebooted last night and should have checked this morning. Grrrr. Probably not TiVo's fault though.
I have the opposite problem. My led blue light won't come back.

It won't come back because the red led light is all lawyered-up and is suing it for patent infringement.

I noticed the blue light come on last night, which it usually does when content is being downloaded. But then it was on so long I thought maybe the system is updating the software. So I waited until morning and the blue light was still on (and still is) and I restarted (TiVo Premier XL). After it was up the blue light came back on. Now, I've had to restart in the middle of a show recording (red light) and after the restart finished it began (or finishing) the recording. Anyone know if TiVo is sending updated operating system software? Or should I try another restart?

I think I do, but cannot check at the moment because the wife is watching stuff. What's the deal with HD Nation?

Just checked from my online access to my programming and yes, I do have HD Nation as a program/download. I'll remove it tonight. Last addition was back in March from what I can see. Good riddance if it fixes the problem. :)

Just one. I think you will need to delete your season pass and then resubscribe to fix that problem.

I only get one and have always only received one, but I remember hearing that is a solution.

I already tried that, waited a week and resubscribed.

It didn't work. But thanks anyway.
I do not know, but it seems to be a commonality.
The blue light went out after deleting HD Nation and restarting. And was out the rest of the day. It's back on this morning. Any ideas? I'll check to see if any copies of HD Nation still are in my list, but I did cancel the Season Pass.

So you did check your Now Playing list to see if anything was downloading, right? and if it thinks it's transferring from another Tivo, that would show up in the to do list too.
