The Big C: Season 2 Thread (Summer 2011)

I'm glad Marlene is still with us even if she is just in Cathys head. IMDB doesn't show her as having been in this season episodes, the other cast members are listed tho, hope she sticks around. Oliver Platt (Paul) is perfect in this, as he was in West Wing. The scene with the dog walking down the hall with the towel still over him was too funny.

I, too, am glad to see Marlene.

Cynthia Nixon looks awesome. Missed Gabby

Why a single thread for the entire season? I thought this was a popular show. I'm often a week behind so it's hard to participate in an 'entire season' thread. I just watched e01 last night and realized how much I missed the show during the hiatus.

There is no chance on earth this show could sustain episode threads. I wish it could, but I wish a lot of things.

I intentionally started this and the Weeds thread so we would have somewhere to discuss these shows. Otherwise we would have gone 2-3-4 weeks before someone jumped in.

This show just keeps getting better. Each week.

Fastest 30 minutes on TV.

I can not begin to put into words how much I love this show. Can I just say how much I love Paul this season. I am really missing the young dr though. He was adorable. Laura Linney is such an amazing actress.

There is such wonderful writers on this show I want to hug everyone of them and I am not a hugger! Ok I am done gushing for now

I like the show too, but I do not like the fat girl. Drives me nuts.

Love the show and really loved it when they broke out the "vagina cone".

I am really loving seeing more of Gabby this season. I think the whole thing having her move in with them is an excellent idea. She and Paul are so funny together. Great cast of actors. Great characters.

The writing on this show is just fantastic.

Add a cast of amazing actors (most of them stage as well as screen actors) and this show is a winner.

I'm amazed at how well they've done Laura Linney's makeup this season; she's definitely showing the effects of the chemo. We just got caught up to current last night, so we'll be ready for the new episode tonight. It's definitely great stuff.

Amazing episode. This has turned into must see TV. The scenes with the swim team were great. The scenes with the brother were great. Cynthia Nixon was great.

Did they ever finish her backyard pool? I only ask because it was such a big part of the first season AND part of the opening..... I mean is is fall now, school is back in session, did the pool company ever finish?!?

I thought this was arguably the best episode of the past two seasons. And I actually missed the last episode, so when Adam told his parents he got a hooker--wow, I was pretty shocked.

I have loved the last few episodes! I wish we could see more ghost Marlene though.
