Tonight's episode was alright, but I think 'Rules of Engagement' beat it this time.

If you ask the networks, yes. If you ask people with multiple tuners/DVRs, no.It is a race?
On a side note...she also did the voice of Andy's mom in all 3 Toy Story movies.Agree. Love Laurie Metcalf. She is great at playing weird.
"We don't say that." (Leonard) "We don't say that either."
Yesterday I watched some rerun eps also and that reminded me of the Wolowitz robot hand episode. Now THAT was some hilarious Wolowitz material!"I'm just trying not to burst into flames" *Leonard slides away from Wolowitz*
I loved that, and it was almost missed in a camera change.Gunnyman said:"I'm just trying not to burst into flames" *Leonard slides away from Wolowitz*
That made me lol. I don't think I've heard anyone use that phrase in at least 45 years. It was fun having someone new added to the mix...his mom is always fun to watch.
"That's awfully white of ya"
Everything she said is common usage in these parts- including that. That made me lol. I don't think I've heard anyone use that phrase in at least 45 years.
That reminds me of a woman I used to work with. She had recently moved here from a certain state which will remain nameless (Starts with a 'T' and ends with 'exas'). One day her daughter came in and they were talking. Well, the names they called people of several persuasions (incl Mexican people, Black people and a few others) were just appalling. After the daughter left, and I was standing there aghast, as I had nowhere else to go in that little place, I said 'WTF was that??'. She gave me a blank look and said 'what?'. I said those horrible names you were calling people. She said, and I kid you not, 'that's what we call them there'. I said 'well, that's NOT what we call them here!'. Still with the blank look...whatever.Everything she said is common usage in these parts- including that.
Ditto..I've heard that phrase on several occasions over the last several years.Everything she said is common usage in these parts- including that.
I'm with Hank. I liked the fact that Sheldon's mother was there (I like her character), but the storyline was pretty weak. Her interactions with the other characters were okay, then Sheldon (predictably) caught a cold, then she soothed him, then it was over.I felt this ep was pretty lame after last weeks great episode. Nothing was really all that funny.
And, I would guess, still in vogue in some parts of the great state of Mississippi as well. But, some of us would like to think we have . . . evolved over the years.Everything she said is common usage in these parts- including that.

Maybe that is why neither of you have an actual location listed under your names.Ditto..I've heard that phrase on several occasions over the last several years.
