Wow, the reactions of the women to Shawntell were vicious!

Courtney has Ben under a spell. But he may have seen a little bit of the real her when she said "whats-her-but".

I had to laugh when she said that. They had just been showing her talk about how immature the other women were and then she acts out like that.

I really didn't understand why the women lost their minds the way they did, especially since that one girl had willingly left and Shawntell could have been considered a replacement. I think most of this behavior can be chalked up to the high stress situation, alcohol and the late hour of these rose ceremonies. My understanding is that the cocktail parties/rose ceremonies generally take all night.
Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one around here who gives a **** about the rules?

So anybody who shows up can ask in, and if the Bachelor says OK, then she's in?

Enough. Every time I have seen this attempted, it has failed. Remember how Ali tried to get back on after dumping Jake for Facebook?

Remember how what's-his name (Ryan?) tried to get back on after being dumped by Ashley the Insanely Insecure Dancing Dentist?

Shawntel was always headed for the same fate. I'm just not sure why she agreed to this ritual humiliation.
This was definitely one of the "most dramatic rose ceremonies ever". :) I don't know if they said it in the breaks this time but they used to all the time in the past.

Chris Harrison's blog entry at http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/01/17/chris-harrison-the-bachelor-episode-3-blog-2/ was pretty good and explains what was up w/Shawntel and that he "didn't foresee the complete nuclear meltdown that took place once Shawntel strolled into the cocktail party that night..."

That was so odd that Brittney left just like that. I wonder if she really wasn't happy about the process and competition or if she just wasn't that into Ben and used the former as an excuse.

I'm kinda glad Erika's gone. She wasn't very attractive and looked ugly in an earlier ep. Elyse seemed to really overreact and be angry.

Interesting that we saw product placement in this ep w/the 2012 CR-V (the cars started shipping very recently, so they must've been driving pre-production units during the filming) and Shawntel driving a Civic. Notice they didn't blur out the Honda logos?
