I love how lines are being drawn with Shawn and Kyle seemingly on opposite sides, and I love the reveal about the 200+ names, with Tom as the final name.

This is the third episode without Collier again ... was Billy Campbell sailing during filming again?

It could've been because he had a recurring role on the show Shark during the spring. Maybe there were conflicts and they just worked the story around him.

Are we so sure that Isabel is translating this correctly? Perhaps she's making it all up; Kyle would never know the difference. Or maybe the future planted the book in the past just for this reason. I HIGHLY doubt the "God will come back" angle is the true story.

Ehh, it might be true, but it could end up being an alien, somebody from the future, who knows? It doesn't necessarily mean the God in the Judeo-Christian sense.
What if Isabelle is dyslexic and she meant to write "dog"?

Actually, IIRC the translation was "Father", which Kyle interpreted as god. My guess is that Father represents something completely different, and not necessarily something good.

I love April's ability...I'm hoping they bring her back more often. Speaking of disappearing characters, is there any reason they got rid of Alana AGAIN?? Couldn't afford the huge cast? I like her!!

And, on the same note, when are they going to use Maya?? I miss her creepy premonitions!!

Wow, now this was the type of episode that I like about this show! Finally, getting back on track, now I can't wait to see what happens next.

By the way: any lawyer worth his or her degree would be able to argue that April's ability is not to force the truth, but to manipulate the answer, and there would be no way to tell the difference.

"I can't believe I just said that! How are you making me say these things?"

I would think her ability would violate a defendent's 5th amendment rights against self-incrimination since any "confession" would essentially be coerced.

I think it would be pretty easy to coach April into asking completely non-manipulative questions: she did many times in the episode ("what was the money for?"). The real problem, legally, of course, would be how do you know her ability is REALLY to force people to tell the truth? Maybe it's some kind of mind control where she can make them say what she wants them to. I don't think the government is thinking of putting April on the stand: they're going to use her to get information. With her ability to get people to tell anything she asks it would be trivial for them to put together a rock-solid case against anyone they wanted to without requiring April to be there to talk to the jury. Of course she does have to get her questions in after they've been advised and before they ask for a lawyer. Even if they couldn't use her to build a case I'm sure they'd find her invaluable as a source of intel... way more reliable than waterboarding :).

Tom commenting on Diana was hilarious: he's lucky his thoughts were so benign. "Once or twice" is not going to cause a problem in any relationship. Too bad April didn't ask Diana the same question ;)

I'm still unclear about a few things. Maybe these are retcons, or maybe I'm just not remembering them correctly, BUT, didn't Kevin have to take many doses of Promicin, carefully measured, and over a long period before he developed a 4400 ability? Now one whopping injection does it? Does that single massive injection work forever, or is the promicin slowly metabolized and the person would have to periodically readminister the substance to maintain their ability?

Have they forgotten about the big plan of the future to have people from the 4400 mate with people who have the Starzl mutation to produce children who will have 4400 abilities? Has that plotline been dropped?

I think the promycin they are handing out is the pure high grade stuff harvested from Isabel rather than the lower-test stuff that Kevin as using earlier. Kevin's ability was not entirely obvious, so he may have continued dosing longer than necessary. I think they determined that one dose was sufficient to kill or activate an ability. Didn't Diana also have a dose forced on her? Wasn't her ability "shown" in a dream earlier this season?

As for the Starzl mutation, I thought it was mentioned that it either takes 2 4400s or a 4400 plus a Starzl mutation to make a child with abilities.

Gordon took away that one kid's 4400 ability, right? Could he just take another dose and get his ability back, or is it a one-time, one-per-customer offer? Would he get the same ability, or is that random? Bored minds want answers.

Does anyone know what exactly is gong on in the future? Only the cigar has given us a glimpse of the relatively distant future.
