Wow, it's hard to care much about any of these characters.

Being thrown right into their problems without much of any backstory is just not doing much for me so far. I can certainly relate to most of these situations but I just don't feel compelled to care yet how these turn out.

The biggest thing I took away this week was that the husband of the couple who don't have sex anymore (and bought a car this week) is very dependent on his wife, a little TOO dependent. That whole shopping thing at the start painting him as almost debilitated without his wife. And his constant need to hear "I love you" from his wife.

Sticking with it for now but it's been a tough go so far.

this show is boooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrinnnnnnnnnnnngggg

completely agree with the lack of backstory and lack of caring about how things end up. can't see my watching this much anymore.

oh, and even the nudity/sex stuff sucks at this point, so man, really nothing to keep me entertained...
I don't know...I'm actually enjoying it. I am curious to see what the oder couple will do about her seeing her ex. I always wonder if older couples argue about these things or let it pass like water under the bridge.
It's hard for me to believe that I'm hating a show with so much nudity. Season Pass deleted. I don't really care about any of the characters and the stories are depressing.

HBO is in a really bad stretch with new series. We get this one to replace John From Cincinnati, another loser.

Meanwhile Showtime continues to roll with Californication, Weeds and Dexter. Californication has nudity too, but you can care about the characters and the story arcs are interesting.

I'll say it one more time, HBO totally blew it when they passed on Mad Men. *That* would now be their premier original series and they would be getting fantastic reviews.

+1 for Mad Men. Currently enjoying that show. However, HBO has nothing of interest now and I am annoyed with their show choices. We like Deadwood but that was canceled to be replaced by John from Cincinnati that was okay but lost us and not this garbage. I deleted my SP half way though the first episode and today I canceled by HBO subscription.
Since this is available in the HBO OnDemand service in my area beginning the Monday before the show airs on the following Sunday, I've already watched ep 3. I've now seen more than enough to make it definite - I just don't care!! What a boring crap-fest!!
