Starting to agree?
Survivor: Winners at War - s40 e13 OAD 5-6-2020
Interesting episode. I'm starting to agree with those here who think that Tony's social game is better than I thought. The fact that he was exposed this time around and nobody even thought to vote him off is pretty awesome. The jury has to see this. But at what point do they decide he's not a good person to take to the end? Or, are his alliances rock solid in these player's minds? We'll see. I'm rooting for Tony to win.
Now, about the EoE. They spent the last 15 minutes talking about EoE. So not only do these folks have FireTokens which will give them an advantage in the comeback challenge, but some even have immunity idols that they can use when they come back? Huh? That guarantees them making it to 5 (and displacing one existing Survivor), and once ingrained back in the game can work to "play the other players". There was a lot of talk about how hard it is to live on EoE, and how they supported each other and how great Natalie has been doing there. She's a beast on EoE and could win the challenge with THREE advantages. And those on EoE who will make up the jury have spent a lot of time with her and can see how great she's playing THERE! She really got a winner's edit on EoE. So it's quite possible the VERY FIRST person voted off could win the whole thing. That would be terrible in my book.

Yes, starting to agree. I still think it's possible that they get wise to him and vote him out. Thus, I still think it's possible that him playing both sides is going to ultimately be his downfall. But we'll see.Starting to agree?
The smartest move for the other players would have been to blindside Tony with the idol in his pocket. The fact that they haven't done so speaks volumes about his strong social ties to the other players. Him and Sarah are clearly dominating in the social game right now. I fear, however, that their moment of reckoning is coming. My guess is that whoever comes back from Edge will team up with Denise, Ben and Michelle to take out Sarah and Tony. All they have to say is, "Everyone on Edge thinks Tony is running the show. If he makes it to end, he will win without question".
I'd love to see Tony win the game. He certainly has played the best game by far up to this point, but for the reasons I listed above, I think he has a tough road ahead of him. My biggest fear at this point is that Michelle wins the game. I think she has played the worst game of any of the players left, but that could end up working to her advantage. The fact that she has been on the wrong side of the vote almost every time means that there is very little blood on her hands. I also think she has been getting a strong redemption edit the entire season.

Was or is in recent relationships with Sarah, Ben, Nick, Jeremy out of the final seven who he has convinced he has a close unique two person alliance with.
There is a degree of luck that goes into making it to the final three so maybe it will dawn on these other oblivious players that Tony is and has been the man. That should be pretty obvious. You had him out the first chance he didn't win immunity, and not only did he survive with no voting against him; he controlled the vote against the supposedly best players ever whom he keeps back stabbing. Why is he still alive? It's because this is one of the top social games Survivor has ever seen.
That's why I changed my mind. And I will agree with you up until the others get wise to what he's doing. And that might not ever occur. So it's either one of the better social games ever, or it winds up causing his ouster. You will have me in total agreement if it's the former.So far:

But, if the game ends today, Tony is the clear winner to me.

It will be because he's made aggressive moves to build his resume and remain in control. These aggressive moves are not what I consider social game.That's why I changed my mind. LOL I've been indoors too long. But nobody will be upset with Tony. while i hope i'm wrong for the others' games, i feel the time to get rid of tony has long since passed - the finale is next week.

I'm with you here. I agree about Natalie, she's 100% beast, and she has taken a rotten situation and has risen above it. I liked her in the previous seasons, and I respect her even more this season. However, I really don't like anyone that's been out of the game winning the game. I get that it's the rules, and I get that the players themselves pushed for the EoE, so they only have themselves to blame, but I don't like it.Now, about the EoE. I'm sure someone (Jeff?) will make a point that the people on the EoE ARE still playing the game. Only the game has evolved to allow a "3rd tribe" on EoE. Sorry, I don't buy it. People on EoE could buy an II at any point, along with the other things like peanut butter. Boston Rob and Natalie each bought one before the last "get back in" challenge. I wanted to mention that for the first time I can remember, next week's finale is one 3 hour episode. They've finally abandoned the pretense of there being an hour long reunion show because that hasn't been an hour for many years. I think last time the winner wasn't announced until about 10:20 Eastern.
