Can someone tell me if this was recorded in HD?
The scenery in Survivor is always beautifully shot, imagine how good it would look in HD!

I record all shows on the HD station that are possible. the pic is so much better than directvs locals SD. Even stuff like survivor and simpsons looks great

try recording the SD and HD versions of an SD show and see what i mean

Way OT, but the main reason I don't do this is that I have less conflicts when I use my HD TiVos for strictly HD programming. Also, my Sony Grand Wega TVs do a good job with an S-Video SD signal.

My DishNetwork on screen program guide lists it twice on two channel numbers. Once in HD and once in SD

I switched from one to the other and back again with no perceptible change.

during the first 5 minutes I kept saying: "Do you know how good this would look in HD???"
what a shame. The show is such a hit that you would think replacing an HD camera or two would not hurt their bottom line. Maybe they would lose what's recorded on the camera if it broke down.
