Another crazy tribal. Why did Sara play the "steal-a-vote" after Jeremy had left? Wasn't it then a 5-4 vote, so stealing one would be unnecessary?

Loved everybody on the jury hugging "pretty-boy Probst" at the end.

Short episode for me, since, as always, I ff through the whole loved ones stuff, which took almost half the show.

I think the logic was that if they stole the vote, it would give them a 6-3 advantage, thus allowing them to split the vote in case of an idol. But they didn't split it equally, so I'm super confused. In fact, I didn't understand how the vote went down at all. Tyson, Kim and Michelle were the only three left out of the big group discussion. If all of them voted for Sophie, why did Sophie only receive two votes? Did Michelle go rogue?

I wonder what would have happened if Sarah played her steal-a-vote on Jeremy before he played his advantage and left tribal. There would technically have been no vote left to steal.

My guess is that Michelle voted with the majority despite being left out of the 5 talking at TC, and they knew it so they knew they only needed 2 votes on Denise.

If the 5 + Michelle had enough trust, they could've voted 3-3-3 after Jeremy left and saved the steal-a-vote for later, but I doubt that group were interested in helping Sarah keep her advantage.

That's about the only thing that makes sense. It sure would have been nice if we could see how everyone voted at the end of the episode. That's yet another thing I don't like about EoE.

While I don't blame Jeremy for using his advantage and guaranteeing his safety, it wasn't a good look ditching his alliance at tribal. I would not be surprised if he is the next to go.

Yeah, if Sarah had played her advantage first and used it on Jeremy, then if he left camp it would not have looked so bad. The way it played out, it looked bad for him.

and yes, they stole a vote likely just in case michelle didn't vote with them. if she had voted against them, then they were guaranteeing a 6v3 and they could split the votes in case of a HII. Kim was mad because it sounded like she was close to playing it for Tyson. It wouldn't have mattered really. Denise would have gone home on the revote.

Not necessarily. Unless I'm missing something, if Kim played her idol for Tyson, Kim could have potentially gone home on the re-vote, so she's actually lucky she played it for Denise.

Votes as shown on the CBS You Tube. PLAYER in all caps, person voted for in italics. Separated by assumed alliances

TONY - Tyson
BEN - Tyson
NICK - Tyson
SARAH - Tyson plus Denise (steal a vote)
SOPHIE - Denise
--
TYSON - Sophie
KIM - Sophie
MICHELE - Tyson (with a major shrug as in she was wildly guessing)
DENISE - no vote
JEREMY - left tribal

Seems like the group of 5 wanted to have a split. They wanted to have a majority vote on someone (Tyson) plus a backup (Denise) in case Tyson had an idol played on him.

The crazy thing to me is that if Kim had played the idol on Tyson AND Michele had voted for Sophie, Sophie would be the one gone.

If they trusted Michelle enough to tell her the real target, they likely knew she was voting with them. Otherwise, she could've told Kim to play the idol for Tyson and voted out Sophie.

That can't be right. Denise received two votes.
Edit: Oops! I didn't see you listed Denise as Sarah's second vote.

I agree. They must have been virtually 100% certain that Michelle was voting with them or they would have thrown another vote Denise's way. To be honest, I still don't understand why they didn't.

I enjoy these "live" tribals, but it's starting to get kind of ridiculous. So much now happens at tribal that it somewhat negates all the strategy and conversations that we are shown on the beach.

No, it doesn't work that way. On the revote, you can only vote for players that previously received votes.
That's true on the first re-vote. But if they're still deadlocked after the second vote, then those that received votes are safe and the rest of the players have to vote again but this time for someone different.

I really didn't like them bringing the young kids to the island. Too many confused, scared and upset little ones. It felt like they were using them.
I'm sure the players didn't feel like the kids were being used when they got to hug them and spend the afternoon with them.
