Well played by Karishma. I thought for sure she and Elizabeth would have voted Dan, but I guess they changed their mind.

I wish they would have shown the first round of votes. I'm assuming Karishma voted Elizabeth and Elizabeth voted Janet. But not sure.

And Lauren panicked when Karishma played her idol and wasted hers. I guess it's better to be safe in that spot though.

Yeah, I was expecting Karishma and Elizabeth to coordinate their votes in order to blindside one of the bigger threats.

That would be my assumption as well.

It's hard to fault Lauren for playing her idol. Once the person you think that everyone is voting for whips out an idol, anything can happen. She only had two tribals to play it anyway.

Based on handwriting, it appears that Dan voted for Elizabeth and Karishma voted for Janet. Seems like Elizabeth and Karishma couldn't come to an understanding.

Lauren was smart to play her idol, even if she didn't get any votes. Lauren knew all the alliance votes were on Karishma. I'm guessing Noura told everyone Karishma didn't have an idol and that's why they all voted for her instead of splitting the vote, which would have been a more logical thing to do. Once Karishma played her idol, Lauren realized there was a solid chance that Karishma could have thrown a vote her way, so she played the idol. Imagine if she hadn't played the idol and Karishma had done that. We'd all be saying how stupid Lauren was for trying to save her idol when it was only good for two tribals anyway (like we did to Vince).

You are correct about the votes.

Karishma is growing on me. Yes she is a whiner and seems like she's pretty lazy, but she's playing the game. She found an idol and she played it at the right time. I hope she goes to IOTI. Would love to see her interact with Sandra and Rob! Even Noura has grown on me. She's an entertaining whack-a-doodle.

I don't like any of the remaining men. Dan is a creep and neither Tommy nor Dean have done anything interesting. I'd be fine with any of the 5 remaining women (Elaine, Janet, Lauren, Karishma, or Noura in that order) being the winner.

Karishma finding an idol makes me suspect they plant idols to move people forward in the game. They even had to wrap in bright blue so it would stand out.

That's odd. I wonder why Dan was the only person to vote for Elizabeth. Was that intentional, or was he purposely left out of the loop?
Interesting question. I wondered if he went rogue in case Karishma played the idol because he wanted to save his friend Janet. He knew Karishma was told to vote for Janet and he knew everyone else was voting for Karishma and he didn't want Janet to go home?

I always suspected this. No proof either way, but it wouldn't shock me. And I know there are standards that "game shows" have to meet for integrity purposes. But this type of thing is hard to prove.

I really don't understand why the votes went all to Karishma. That seems like really stupid play. You don't have to put a ton of votes on someone else; Why not throw two votes to someone else? That's enough to overcome Karishma's one vote if she has an idol. In the end it didn't matter, except maybe if they'd had a better plan from the start Lauren wouldn't have felt the need to waste her idol.

However the way it went down I agree with Lauren playing her idol. I get that having one is a nice safety blanket but we've seen over and over people not playing them and going home. Idols are there to be played! These days blindsides are so common that the idea you'll "just know" when it's the right time is a fantasy. If you feel a little bit off, in any way, if your name has come up at all, or if you have more than one (Kellee!!) just play it! There'll be another one to find...

The producers and show runners have made it very clear they want the idols easily found and in circulation because it makes for more entertaining game play, that's why they plant them right after one is played, this isn't something new at all and it's very much out in the open.

We get that. What I'm thinking anyway is that they plant it in places more advantageous to certain players. In this case, make it easier for Karishma to find than some other player.

I don't think so, I can't see them targeting certain players, but I can see them wanting them easily found.

I just don't buy them giving any player an advantage off camera. Coincidences happen all the time in real life, not everything is a conspiracy. And I don't think Karishma has been interesting enough that the producers would have wanted to save her at the time anyways. She's been on the chopping block for weeks now, and she just found the idol.

I don't see how anyone could have planted any idol specifically to give Karishma an advantage. She lies on the hammock all day long! If Noura hadn't pushed her out of the camp she'd never have found anything. Unless you're suggesting someone radioed ahead with "Karisma on the move! Karishma on the move! Quick plant an idol!" which seems highly unlikely to me.
