Superstore, season five. Usual rules, don't post spoilers before the episode airs. Individual threads are always welcome, but this gives us a place to discuss it as the season progresses.

One of my favorite shows is back. Credit to NBC for nurturing this series, during its early days, before it built a loyal following.

I think them singing the Bagel Bites commercial for Mateo's vigil was hilarious

I don't know, but that scene in the detention center was one of the most moving scenes I've watched on any sitcom. Tremendous acting, well written.

Another hilarious episode. Great to see Kelly back. Funny bit that they kept inadvertently winding up in couples costumes.

So Maya most likely knows the union is about to form. It is possible she didn't realize it was Kelly's store's union cards in the bag. But more likely she saw what was in there and was planning to blackmail them, was going to report them to corporate and got thwarted, or secretly supports them. I hope it's the last one but I'll go with wherever they take it.

I think Maya also was Teresa's friend on the first season of Queen of the South.

Ana Ortiz played one of the big bosses at Cloud 9 corporate last season.

Maya was played by Justina Machado, who did appear on a couple of episodes of Ugly Betty. She has been on a few different shows over the years, including Queen of the South. I recognized her from the Netflix One Day at a Time remake.

She was also on Jane the Virgin. Played janes fathers baby mama.

I was guessing it wasn't even Maya that put the wrapper in the bag. Was thinking it will come out that Sandra got hungry while making all the bags up or something along those lines.

Now it's looking like Carol could be the serial killer who has been leaving disembodied feet around town. Last week at the beginning of the episode she said about the serial killer "I'm an empath, so things like that really affect me." Then she wasn't seen for the rest of the episode, which gave her time to leave a fresh foot in Richmond Heights or at least channel the serial killer's personality. Now she's spooking Sandra. Interesting...
