TiVo screwed up again. Superstore originally planned to air a new episode, "California, Pt 1", last night April 9. Sometime earlier this week, they decided to postpone it until April 23, and run it as the season finale. DirecTV got it, FutonCritic got it. TiVo didn't get it. And thus recorded what ended up being a rerun.

So when April 23 rolls around, keep an eye on your TiVo. Sometimes they handle situations like this properly, sometimes not. I'll bump this thread a few days before.

Semi-related aside: Superstore planned to end this season with a two-part finale, "California", parts 1 & 2. It was the setup for Amy leaving the show. Due to the CV, they had to shut down production after part 1 was filmed, but before part 2 was wrapped. So we're only getting the first half of the season finale this season. That's the episode that will air April 23. The producers have said they'll bring America Ferrera back next season for at least one episode, to wrap up her story.

That's odd. Mine recorded it, and titled it as the Pt. 1 episode. Perhaps there was a last minute guide update I didn't get in time.

Mine recorded it too but I couldn't remember for certain whether I had seen it. I might get through the entire episode and finally decide I have.

The good news is I saw this and made sure to manually record whatever airs in two weeks.

I did a force update (for the new SNL tonight) and I see they have Superstore correctly in the guide
4/16 episode is rerun
4/23 is new and California part 1 as title

That's half the battle, getting the guide correct.

Part II is making sure it records. Since it thinks it already recorded this episode within the last 30 days, it may not record it again. Sometimes TiVo (as a company) handles this correctly, and other times... not so much.

I'll find out as 4/23 gets closer.

Mine is set to record on the 23rd even though it recorded this past Thursday's thinking it was the California Pt. 1 episode.

Mine finally showed up in the To-Do List also.

But I noticed at the same time, the CBS schedule for that same night (April 23) is screwed up. They have the first hour correct (Young Sheldon, Man With a Plan), but the final two hours just say "To Be Announced". Not to say they won't get corrected before then, but at this time, there is no guide data for Mom/Broke/Tommy that night.

If it's still screwed up as the date approaches, I'll create a new Thread on it.
