Question.

I have ST and SuperFan.
But this week's games on HR10-250 shows message asking to call Extension 741.
This happens to both SD and HD games.

Had Refreshed Service, Restarted (via menu), Hard Restart (unplug, 15 secs, plug back).
Called CSR.

All that to no avail.
I can set to record fine on HR20-100.

What I need to do next? The CSR is clueless and started telling me that I might have to wait to closer to the time.

AVPhan,

I started a thread re: this about 3 days ago but no responses yet. I checked the SD forum and there is a thread re: ST problems recording.

I have having the same problems on all 8 HR10s and have called D* on Tuesday and again this morning. Same cluelesss CSR suggestions.

I did find a workaround that may get us through this weekend. I used the "D* button-7" shortcut to get to the manual record menu and then setup manual records for the HD games and they are scheduled to be recorded in my To Do List. I hope that I will not just be recording blank screens or "Please call Ext 741" screen.

Please post if this clears up and I'll do the same.

Hope this helps,
BigBearf

Over the last couple years I have had to wait till sat or Sun twice. Hopefully this will happen again this week. I also can't record my game yet.

This is ridiculous! We pay way too much money to have these types of problems. I should not have to babysit these recordings!

Come on D*, get your act together!

I'll wait and try again Sat and will call in again on Sun and keep you all posted.
Saturday morning still no good.
Called in and CSR filing a report for the Broadcast coordinator.

He advised to use manual channel date and time but I asked/said that it could be recording blanks, He got no answer on that.

If you have a problem. Call in Pls.

It is a KNOWN issue, unfortunately the CSR's don't look at their own information screens:

NFL Sunday Ticket Recordings: NFL Sunday Ticket recordings can only be set 22 hours in advance of scheduled start time. No escalations

Advise customers:
Recordings must be scheduled within 22 hours of scheduled start time.
DIRECTV is working to remove restriction.

If the above statement is true, then what happened the first three weeks ? and I remember previous years as well, I was able to set to record as soon as guide info comes in (about Monday or Tuesday of the week).

I have done a search and I can only record 3 of the HD channels:
721, 722 & 724. The others 718, 718, 720, 723 and 725 are all no-go.

I have called D* twice and they really don't know what is going on. They suggested trying a manual recording as well. I have gotten them to escalate this issue too.

This is NOT the 22hr rule either. This is Saturday at 5pm PDT.

If I miss the game in HD (Packers vs. Vikings) I am going to demand my superfan money back. I am paying %#$* $100 extra dollars to watch 7 Packers games in HD and I am not a happy camper.

And rumor from the Technical CSR is that ALL HD stuff will move to MPeg4 in December.

not happy

I am not a Happy Camper Either. This is ridiculous. It appears to be a PPV bug of some sort to me. DirecTV better be working on this problem right now!

They told me that too...but the way that they stated it was that PPV has problems when they show Sunday ticket because it sucks up the bandwidth! So If I wanted to watch a movie I'd have a hard time.

Sounds fishy to me....

Exactly the point. They are having trouble NOW not 3 weeks ago. The "statement" I posted states they are aware there is a problem NOW that wasn't there before the 28th (that's why it says "FIRST REPORTED 9/28". That "quote" did not come from me or a CSR it came from a screen shot sent to me off D*'s subscriber system which is ALSO why it says "FIRST REPORTED 9/28" and "Advise Customers: yada yada yada." Verstehen?

That rumor is 100% absolutely completely FALSE with no question whatsoever. Never happen whether you want to beleive it or not. Most of the technical CSR's are just CSR's with a few more scripts to read. Oh, they aren't CSR's they are "EC's" (Entertainment Consultants). Ask 'em next time you call. :D

This was what I was questionning if TRUE, and TOTAL FALSE. It's just an Excuse given to get customers off the phone.

As of now, 09:00am on Sunday, Still not able to set to record.

Wolfman, totally agree, I'm in the same boat...I still cannot record the Pack and its 11:30am on Sunday for god's sake...I'm gonna raise holy hell at D*, get my ST money back, I do not pay ridiculous sums of money to watch 7 Pack games in HD....this is the ONLY reason I still have satellite at all, this is crap, total crap.

Can anyone else record the Pack on 720 HD right now? Or the Lions/Bears game for that matter?

So you're saying D* is NOT working on resolving it or is NOT really aware of it? Why would they not want to resolve it if they are aware of it? Doesn't make sense. I can tell you for sure that they ARE aware of it. Whether they will (or should) go into the technical details with the EC's is another story. They have had lots of I.T. issues recently with their programming tiers especially since they rolled out, then pulled back, then rolled out the new HD tiers.

They're using PPV HD bandwidth as opposed to turning off existing HD channels during football. Even though it's a little hassel to set up a manual recording, I think it makes more sense than to turn off an existing mpeg2 HD channel during football.

I'm just glad the mpeg2 HD games are available to record at all.
