My scattered brain will click on a thread to read and within 2 seconds, forget what thread it is that I clicked on. When threads veer off topic, it's not even obvious from what I'm reading what thread it is. 
Back in the olden days, I believe we used to have a customization in the old software that put the thread title down at the bottom of the page, to at least give you a reminder when you got to the bottom where it is you are actually reading. It would be a nice improvement to these forums I think if that was added, even if it had to be truncated or something if the title is too long.
When you're at the top of the page, obviously the title is right there in your face in big letters:

But down here, not so much:

It doesn't need to be in the giant letters like the header, just... anything.
