In addition to the other good advice above I strongly suggest you invest in an inexpensive Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). It doesn't have to have very much capacity - just enough to get you past those minute or less power glitches. Those are the ones that are often responsible for hard drive failures.tytantim said:My Power went out at my house. When it came back on, my series 2 tivo is stuck on power up. Tried several times to unplug it and power it up but still stuck.
Any ideas?

The lights came back on the front of the unit. Got the powering up screen, then the just about there, then a blank screen and the lights went out again. Tried it again and it would cycle between the powering up and the just about there screens .So what do you think? Hard drive or power supply?
