With all the problems people are reporting getting their TivoHDs to work with CableCards, I'm curious what the success/failure rate is.

the tech from time warner showed up two hours early. he was finished installing the two motorola cable cards in about an hour. after he left i reran guided setup and all went quite smoothly.

The tech wasn't sure how to do it, but he "got it done." It took about 45 minutes to get the cards activated. The major issue was the software glitch with slot 2, but that seems to be rectified. Therefore, it was done on the first attempt but it was harsh!

I guess putting in the "I am waiting for my first attempt at CableCard Install." choice was a bad idea. Once you have the cards installed, you can't come back her and change your answer.

Maybe I'll repost this poll in a week or so and leave that one off the list.

I have had multiple attempts at getting Cablevision to install it over a week. They are now telling me their cablecard program data is down in Brooklyn and they don't know when it will be fixed, so they wont even install any cards for now.
