I thought it was a bit slow until the end, serving more as a recap than the start of a new season.

It took me a bit to figure out the last picture Cindy put on the table. I thought at first it was Mike, then realized it was probably Yolanda's little brother Alex Montez, who's Eclipso's host. Just like the creepy kid Bruce at the beginning was original host Bruce Gordon.

Welp, I'm wrong. Watched it again and apparently it was Mike.

I viewed this more as both a "catch up" episode and a "setting up for the next story arc" episode.
I wonder if this season is just going to be about the summer or if it's going to go longer.

How long will it take for Sylvester (or "Sylverster") to get to Blue Valley?

So I guess we know happened to the Power Ring.
(And here you thought that John Stewart Diggle was going to be the first Green Lantern in the Arrowverse.)

I apparently missed something and I should probably watch it again. What was the significance of the death of the little girl at the beginning. I think the last name on the mailbox was Chuck's last name, right?

Yes, the name on the mailbox was "McNider" as in Dr. Charles "Chuck" McNider.
The inference is they are related.

I had forgotten how trick-or-treat-ish the superhero kids look in their uniform.

I didn't understand the Stargirl vs. Green Lantern's fight. A simple "Who are you?" could have solved the issue a lot quicker especially since one of them was carrying a big green lantern. Also, the family must be really sound sleepers. There was a loud fight going on with lots of stuff getting destroyed and none of them showed up until the end.

I didn't understand the Stargirl vs. Green Lantern's fight. A simple "Who are you?" could have solved the issue a lot quicker especially since one of them was carrying a big green lantern.

Which was in Courtney and Pat's possession until an unknown person broke into the house and took it.
Considering that people had recently broken into the house trying to kill the Whitmore-Dugan family, you can't blame Courtney for being on edge.

Also, the family must be really sound sleepers. There was a loud fight going on with lots of stuff getting destroyed and none of them showed up until the end.

I had the same thought myself while watching the fight.

I'm two episodes in and I don't understand the evil daughter and mother subplot. There's probably something important that I should remember from the previous season.

I hope there'd be more Green Lantern but it looks like she's going to be shelved for a while.

Yeah, I don't get the daughter and mother thing either. I thought it was just because I don't know anything about comics??? I love the cast on this show, though. I hope I'll be able to follow it.

This show is starting to lose me. The writing seems more childish this season. The costumes that most of them wear are comical, like they're direct copies of what 1950s comic book characters wore. The Shade wore a top hat for crying out loud. It's another one of those shows with male characters who are supposed to be high school age look like they're closer to 30 than 16.

This show is starting to lose me. The writing seems more childish this season. The costumes that most of them wear are comical, like they're direct copies of what 1950s comic book characters wore. The Shade wore a top hat for crying out loud. It's another one of those shows with male characters who are supposed to be high school age look like they're closer to 30 than 16.

I'm kinda the opposite. The show was losing me for the first many episodes this season, because it had no real moving plot. In the last couple of episodes, the plot as picked up (even if it is comic book cheesy), and its redeemed itself.
