"Star Wars: Visions', the Japanese anime anthology series based on the Star Wars saga finally dropped yesterday. All nine episodes, each ranging from about 15-22 minutes. All are separate and stand alone. I have finished watching all nine.

How is it? Well, it's all unique, especially in the visuals.. But for the most part, they are all doing the same basic story.

NPR has a pretty good review that I don't find too spoilery.

I hated the animation style of the first episode. It was also confusing. I think I fell asleep on the rock & roll second episode since I don't remember how it ended. I think I'll wait until I get desperate for something to watch to check out the rest.

I watched the first three episodes. The first was meh, but the Rock Band and the Twins story didn't sit with me that great. (The twin sister kept reminding me of Asuka Langley from Evangelion) I don't think this is for me, even though I'm only a moderate Anime fan.

But at least there's a lightsaber parasol in the canon now...
