I suppose there was no thread for this one because the episode was so awful? At least, to us it was.

I hate when they have Canadian-themed shows (especially Terrence & Philip) and this was just terrible. We only made it halfway through and I may (but probably won't) finish it some day.

What say you?

As is tradition....

I got a kick out of it. Not great, but fun. I actually like episodes that goof on Canada. :)
I thought it was pretty "meh" too. I will say though that the Canadian guy doing the voice over during the wedding, I thought he was really funny.

Other than that, blech.

Obviously the wedding was a spoof of the royal wedding, but WTH was the tooth decay stuff all about? Was that supposed to be Osama related?
Did any of the regular kids (Kyle, Cartman, Stan) show up later in the episode?

I liked how the ugly guy with the paper bag looked like a regular Canadian.

Was the giant dick guy a reference to something/someone?
"Well they phoned that one in."

-Me, immediately after this episode ended.
Great day for Canada and therefore, a great day for the rest of the world.

I think so. At the end, they called off the play because "they finally got him".

Yes. Kyle had to fill in for Ike and play "tooth decay" in the play.

Dunno.. But it was funny how much of a racist he was towards the native Canadians.

I think it would have been funny if Ugly Bob had a non-Canadian mouth/jaw. Like he was the only Candaian that didn't look like all the others.
I thought the tooth decay pay off - or lack thereof - was rather dumb.

Stan and Eric had one line each right at the end (when Kyle is proud that Ike is now a "Canadian Knight", Stan and Eric each mention something about how one of their relatives is in charge of something relatively minor, and Kyle accepts that Ike's Knighthood is about as (in)significant).

Scott was a prominent character in the "Christmas In Canada" episode a few years ago. He wasn't a giant then, but he was a dick.

That (Christmas In Canada) was a great episode, maybe top 10 in my book. The one this week had some funny moments, but not memorable.

That episode isn't ringing a bell. I must have missed it.

Get used to it, I read an interview with them, they pretty much came off as just trying to fill out the obligations of their contract with Comedy Central.

Most of their creative juices went into The Book of Mormon and they're pretty much non-stop churning out South Park episodes.

Maybe so but I thought the first 2 episodes of the season were pretty good.

They made plenty of episodes after that one that were so much better than the book of Mormon so clearly this is your personal opinion.

Not the episode about the Book of Mormon, their Broadway musical: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_of_Mormon_(musical)
I made it about 10 minutes in and bailed. I think the Human CentIpad was an excellent classic that's made incredibly high expectations. Everything after that is just hard to watch.
That had to be one of the worst South Park eps ever. I didn't really laugh once. Are Matt Stone and Trey Parker just phoning it in now?
I rather liked this episode and laughed a fair amount, but I'm wondering if I saw the same ep as you, as I should now explain and ask you people about.

My TiVo failed to record it because I think something happened to my tuning adapter and I had no video signal coming into my TiVo. So I went to hulu.com and watched it there instead. It was filled pretty densely with F bombs, and the s word, and other profanity... especially from the mouth of Mr. Macky. Was it that way on the comedy channel, or just on hulu.com? (IOW, was it censored on the comedy channel?) Overall, I liked this ep better than last week's ep.
tim, Canadian royal wedding episode. They do censor on CC with F bombs.
