It's been many months since the TiVo XoD app reached EOL. The reason has more to do with technological issues than some cynical ploy by Comcast to push out third-party video devices, although the result is the same.

Instead of XoD, which had always been less than ideal and had become severely limited towards the end anyway, you can use the free Xfinity Stream app on a Roku or other device (also available as a website for PC or Mac). Although the app is still in Beta status it is already miles ahead of what XoD could offer on its best day.

But it seems the app. has been gone since Tivo rolled out the new UI a bit over a year ago.

you can stream xfinity on demand using the xfinity stream app in a pc browser or on android.

Xfinity Stream is on Samsung TVs as well. Mine is a 2017. A little tedious going thru the guide but picture quality is better than thier QAM

Stream app. is fine on my iPad but it's not available for Apple TV so it's a hassle to play on my TV.

It doesn't support Chromecast either.

XOD looked & felt like an old DOS App. Agree that Stream is light years ahead but it is still hobbled by not being available on the TiVo platform, AppleTV, etc. I know some of the newer Samsung & other TVs support the Stream App as well as the new AppleTV App. When it comes time to upgrade my Samsung, this will become a deciding factor. I’ll still never forgive TiVo for just removing XOD without offering a fully functional replacement. Just poor management.

If you have a free HDMI port on your TV, AVR, or other hub device, you can purchase a Roku streaming stick for a one-time cost of less than $50 and have access to XoD as well as a host of other apps.

Unfortunately, in today's streaming landscape you need more than one device if you want to get a multitude of services in the best and most reliable A/V formats. I bought a Roku Ultra last year just for the sake of XoD and the increased streaming redundancy; now it's become my preferred device even over my Nvidia Shield TV for most purposes.

Main thing I need on demand for is Starz, because they release their shows the night before premier.

Also some shows I missed it might be nice to catch up on demand.

I guess I'll just have to watch on iPad or let the Tivo record them.
