I've heard of him, don't like his music. I knew to skip over his musical performances but I actually liked the song during the monologue. And he's not a bad actor.

I liked the music if not the subject matter for the bachelor party.

And the music in the bar at the end.

They actually seemed to end on time this week. I don't know how long it has been since I saw the clock after 1:00. I do like watching them hug.

The Cinderella sketch was good but very weird. I've always liked the Cinderella story and the various TV versions, and the great music with Lesley Ann Warren and later Brandy. The movie that aired on ABC a few weeks ago was wonderful. Unlike the stepmother, I think Cinderella is a beautiful name, but it's because she has always been such a beautiful girl.

And "Weekend Update" was one of the best things about the episode, as usual. I will miss having the new stories about what is going on in the news, because they announced the next new episode won't be for a month.

I thought it was a pretty good episode, certainly better than last week. I also skipped the music act, as I'm familiar with Nick Jonas and not a fan.

Yeah, was surprised they are skipping most of March. I record this and watch Sunday morning over breakfast so not sure what time the show ends.

Are you aware this song is from Les Miserables?

The English version of the name does not do the original story justice. In the original German version, she is called Aschenputtel, which comes from Aschen ("ashes") + Hessian Rhine Franconian Puddel ("untidy or dirty girl"), of uncertain origin. The Cinder part of the English translation refers to ashes, but the "ella" part makes the name sound feminine and beautiful, rather than the ugly insult it was intended as in the original German story.

I get that it was an insult.

When I saw Nick Jonas was hosting, I thought didn’t he sing MmmBop before remembering that was Hanson. Glad to see his brother thought the same thing :)

I thought the Vaccine game show was both funny and sad at the same time.

Yeah that was funny about Mmmbop (though I knew it was Hanson and that song has always been a "guilty pleasure" song for me (i.e. I have no business liking that song but for some reason it's catchy and I like it.)

The other bit I really liked, was the exercise mirror which I thought was pretty funny.

There is no shame in liking MMMBop. It may very well be the most catchy song ever written. ;)

I was reminded while looking for a solution to another pet problem (it's cute but I don't want a mouse in my house) that they had the sweetest kitten in the final sketch. It kept meowing too. I wonder how they got it in the jacket?

Don't want a cat in my house either but I've always liked them. We had cats when I was a child but they were always outside or if they needed shelter there was the room with the washer and dryer which only had an outside entrance.

I said they finished on time but one of my Facebook friends linked to a sketch that never aired. I should probably go get that and put it here.

With some video jumps it appeared to me that sketch was pre-recorded and edited. Takes the stress out of the end of the show.

There are always sketches that get cut for time. In the last few years, NBC has been releasing the version filmed during dress rehearsal on YouTube, so this is nothing unique.

Not sure why I bother but dismissing a person for not liking "their music" when that artist has made ballads, rock, pop, pop-punk, dance and probably more - is weird.
There are certain artists that I just don't like, no matter what they do. I get artists do all kinds of different things. Maybe you don't like their voice, or the way they perform on stage, or even them personally. I respect that. What I don't get is people who dismiss them without ever hearing anything they do. Why not give a few minutes and listen if you never heard of them?

With that said, if an act is described as a Hip-Hop or rap artist, I'm going to not bother listening. Pretty much anything else, I'll at least try.

If he has done my kind of music, I'm unaware of it. Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera are both best known for what I consider absolute garbage and both have done my kind of music. Particularly Lady Gaga, with and without Tony Bennett.
