I read on krpytonsite.com that an Executive producer hinted of two deaths. Speculation is one of the two will be brought back somehow. (by Jor-El presumably).

Jonathan and Lana were the picks. Most people think Lana will die in a car wreck, and Clark will ask Jor-El to revive her and he will, but then Jonathan dies. Possibly with Jonathan making the sacrifice for his son.

It could be the reverse also. Jonathan dies and clark gets Jor-El to bring him back, but then Lana dies in a car wreck.

Clark is definitely wearing a suit in the clips linked to above with Jonathan at the fortress, but with Lana he is wearing his normal Smallville clothing.

Not really much of a spoiler. The producer hasn't hinted at two deaths, he has outright said that there will be two deaths.

I really, really, really hope that Lana dies. But I'm thinking that the previews might be misdirection. That being said, I fear it might be Chloe, who has become one of my favorite characters on the show.

It's funny how so many people want Lana to die...including me of course . My wife and I can't stand her either. I know they'll never kill her though. My money is on Jonathan. Let's face it, he has heart problems, he's now running for public office, and his "son" comes from another planet and has a seemingly unending supply of enemies, most of which usually end up beating the crap out of old farmer John.

Chloe may be hoping for death though as she seems to be both Clark and Lana's personal relationship therapist. She may commit suicide .

Here is my speculation and its not spoilerized because I have no idea if its true.

Clark tells Lana his secret and proposes marriage. Lana accepts but is later killed in a car accident. Somehow time gets reversed to save Lana, but it ends up killing Pa Kent. The time warp thing also causes Lana to forget the secret or the proposal. Clark pouts.

Looked like Lana's car to me.

I think it was. She has driven a Jeep Liberty and a GMC SUV. Last episode had her in the GMC and thats what the car looks like in the previews showing a car accident.

That actually sounds pretty plausible.

I can actually believe that it was Jonathan. It's about time. In the storyline Superman's dad died when he was in high school, right? So, he got a year longer to liver than he was granted. I hope the other person is Lionel. He is useless now.

When and if Superman's parents die in the comics has changed over the years in the comics. It isn't written anywhere that Jonathan has to die. It's not like the Waynes or uncle Ben.
