I didn't see any posts about it or any documentation but tivo online supports skip mode. If you play a show via online.tivo.com and hit d (forward) or D (shift+d backwards) you can skip around Skip cuts. It seems to work best in full screen mode but as long as the video element has focus it works.

Interesting. online.tivo.com uses the same transcoder functionality as the app. I wonder if they'll finally release an app for streaming devices now? The biggest issue with doing so before was the terrible user experience around navigation. Having skipmode solves that problem for the most part.
