Silly setup question

It's been so long since I activated a machine....I have a quick question.....

My new S2DT just arrived today to replace my S2ST. I don't want to activate until the weekend, when I have less to be recorded. I ran a clear and delete everything, and when it gets through that, it wants to go into Guideded setup.

Am I ok just leaving it at that point in the process (TV on other sources of course) or am I better unplugging it for the few days?

I would assume its ok to leave the box in its current state, but I wanted to be sure.....

Thanks ahead of time......

Sheesh, it's been a while!

Won't hurt anything. It'll just sit right there. Of course, I would just unplug it...
Why would you run a C&DE on a new box?
Sorry...new to me. I purchased from a seller on Ebay. I want to clear all the thumbs and everything and start from scratch.

I guess I should unplug since I am going to have to move it anyways into its proper location in my equipment rack.

The hard part of it all, was that it still had the finale of the Sopranos on it. My wife and I don't get HBO, and we have only watched the Part 1 episodes of Season 6. I know what happens in the finale, and it was just so tempting to watch it before deleting it.

1. Subscribe The Box
2. TTG Sopranos
3. C&DE

Although C&DE is a lengthy process, it is not excessive.

I thought about doing it that way. I just don't want to upset the rest of the fam if I subscribe the box and it doesn't work for whatever reason. For this reason, I am waiting until Saturday.

I did decide before leaving for work to unplug the box for now. In the temporary spot I was plugged into, I have a surge protector, but it is too far from my APC UPS backup. I'd rather not take a chance and just wait until Saturday.
