Shows that continue to impress you

In contrast to the thread about shows that started off great but lost that special something, what shows continue (or continued while they were airing) to impress you?

Breaking Bad comes to mind for me.

Friday Night Lights. Pretty consistently good throughout the entire run.
I'm pretty new to Grey's Anatomy, but I really like it. I know others who seem to think it's time for it to die.
I agree on Friday Night Lights it was pretty consistently good throughout the entire run am also really enjoying Warehouse 13 and True Blood.
Fringe has been the best show on TV for a while now.

I feel like Fringe sortof got lost for a while.

Supernatural keep surprising me. I keep expecting it to go downhill, but so far it is just about the only show that I make a point of watching either live or the same night.
Dexter has maintained its quality from one season to the next. Let's see what happens when the new season starts next month.

Seinfeld also had a good run.
Smallville - definitely. The consistency of the writing, the Emmy-ignored acting, the...

Gah - I just couldn't keep that up!

Seriously - Modern Family. Always funny.

Supernatural started to go down hill when they introduced angels and made them evil. Although it did get better for a while with a soulless Sam. Then they got his soul back and the show succumbed to wallowing in angst again.

I agree.
I actually got fed up with it towards the end of last season.

I also agree with Friday Night Lights.

Dexter the last two season's just keeps getting better but season 3 with Jimmy Smits was almost unbearable.
If we're counting old shows as well, I'll put in my vote for Friends. I think it was consistently good from beginning to end. It's on every night, in order, at the same time, and it's one of my regular shows. I've watched it 'live', I watched the re-runs in syndication whenever I happened to catch them and for the last year or two I've been watching the episodes in order. I'm just about at the end of the series for the second time and then it'll start over again and I'll keep going. I don't think there's a single episode that I've ever said "Ugh, I don't want to watch this one" or "ugh, I don't like this season, I'll start watching it again in a few weeks."
I think Justified had two above average seasons.
Those naughty shows:
Dexter
Breaking Bad
The Wire
Deadwood

The nice shows:
Friday Night Lights
Treme
Always Sunny in Philly. Still just randomly pick an episode to watch, SO good!

Dexter for sure
Sons of Anarchy is up there, although last season wasn't the best, it was still great
Breaking Bad
The Wire
i think the following shows have been consistently solid:

modern family
raising hope
dexter
its always sunny
arrested development (on dvd, but it was streets ahead and still impresses me ;) )
fringe (on story arc episodes, i don't like the creature of the week ones)
community (not many people like it, but i've enjoyed all of them)

a new one i'm enjoying is alphas, haven't been disappointed in any of the episodes yet

Friday Night Lights
Dexter (I didn't mind Jimmy Smits!)
The Sopranos
Sex and the City
Arrested Development
My So-Called Life (all 19 episodes were fantastic)

I also enjoyed Seinfeld and Friends from start to finish, although both shows had their ups and downs.

Both Modern Family and The Good Wife have been good from day one, but they are both only in the second season, so they are still pretty new.

ETA: Mad Men, too! How could I forget that? I liked that show from day one, but loved it by the end of season one, and it's still good.
