I'm not sure if I should have just asked this on the FIOS cablecard thread. Anyway I have FIOS with the 50/50 plan and tivo with cable card.(Installed in 2017) I was talking to Verizon about faster service(300/300) and they mentioned they'll have to upgrade my ONT. Given that everything is currently working anybody know if I'm just opening a can of worms having the installer come by and upgrade things? (This is in the Boston area) I can pretty much cancel the appointment since I like using my Tivo and I haven't gotten to the point of cutting the cable yet.

Upgrading your ONT should have no impact to your tv service.
Upgrading your ONT to new hardware that does not support QAM cable would make it impossible to use a cable card TiVo.
You need to know what they are upgrading you to. (What hardware)

You could always make the appointment but refuse to allow the work if they attempt to install hardware that will eliminate QAM cable.
