Is there an easy way to shorten the time that the Guide is displayed on the screen? I own an unhacked Series2 DVR.

Thanks in advance.

The "guide" or the channel banner on the top of the screen after changing channels?

If the latter, there is a setting, but I forget where it is.
Most likely in "settings", perhaps in the video section.

The guide screen stays up for fifteen minutes. If you want it down before then just press the guide button again to take it down.

The channel banner can be set to quickly disappear
messages & settings > settings > displays > channel banner

You can also adjust the size of the channel banner by bringing it up and then pressing the right navigation button to scroll through the 3 different sizes.
I was talking about the display when I change the channel displaying the info on the show stays on the screen longer than I prefer. Can I shorten this?

See the 12:07AM post no. 3 by Mick66, he explains how to adjust the time duration of the display (banner) you are trying to adjust.

That pretty much shuts off the banner, it doesn't stay up long enough. The default one stays up for like 10 seconds. There needs to be an intermediate setting.

There's the 'clear' button, ya know, to get rid of it whenever you want. I'm kinda in the habit of changing channels and hitting clear once I'm done reading any info.
