I have a Directv Tivo in one room and a regular TIVO in the other. Sometimes it would be nice to watch what I taped in one room, in the other.

My regular TIVO is connected to my wireless network.

What do I have to do to my R10 to allow these two to talk?

Thanks,
John Dent

Can't do it due to hardware. That's the short answer.
Actually the PROM in the R10 can be hacked by a capable person, and the information is availble on the web, so the R10 can be hacked. But a better solution would be a pre-R10 Series 2 DirecTiVo, like a SD-DVR80.

You can send the video from the R10 to your other TV, outside of the second DVR.

So a hacked DirecTiVo can send video to a regular TiVo via MVR?

Sounds like the original poster should try again in one of the "Underground" threads.

Yes, so long as the "patch" is applied to both DVRs.

Thats, provided both are 2xx/3xx or prom modded 5xx, so the appropriate kernel hacks can be done so the patch can be applied.
