SF Bay Area HD locals 7.1, 9.1

I got an upgrade to HD install a month ago. I live in the Oakland Hills with direct line of sight to the tower. They put a two bow tie antenna on my roof which has worked fine for HD locals. Last night I noticed that I had 0 signal strength for the 7 series, 7.1, 7.2 and the 9 series. They used to come in with no problem. 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, 11.1 all continue to come in fine with signal strength in the high eighties, low 90s. Is anyone else having this problem? If it is at my end, what could it be?

Thanks for the help.

I heard they had a problem with the digital antenna. I think they are still working on it at Sutro Tower.

Thanks for the information. It didn't make sense that it was me, but glad to know it wasn't. On the other hand, I hope they get it fixed soon. At the moment I have 7.1, no 9.x, but sounds like the situation keeps changing.

Apparently half of the digital antenna used by KGO (channel 7.1), KQED (9.1) and KMTP is damaged.

KGO is broadcasting HD signals at low power over the weekend, only for the football playoff games. Their digital transmitter is off-air the rest of the time.

During the next few days, all the Sutro Tower digital transmitters will be off-line during the daytime while the tower crew works on repairs, then will be back on line for evening programming. (They do this for safety reasons - don't want to cook the workers with radiation).

There's a Yahoo! group called HDTV-in-SFbay, where I got this info.
