I think the kickstart danger is overplayed. Read through this post.
The most likely interference would be something that puts out infra-red light, intentionally or otherwise, screwing up your remote control signals to the TiVo.Hello. I think that it has something to do with a new iPhone, or new laptop that is newish that is new since the tivo problem started.
Do you think it could be a new elcectronic/technical item that is causing interference to the tivo?
My next question/comment is when I was speaking to TiVo Support they told me that if the kickstart 57 doesn't work, then there is a great chance that it could cause the death of the TiVo. So that is why I didnt do it. Do you think it is an exaggeration by tivo support?
