Series 2 upgrade with WD 1TB Green Drive

I have a series 2 (140060) and want to add a WD10EARS 1 TB Green Drive. I know I need a SATA to IDE adapter. After disabiling the intellipark feature, will this drive work in my series 2 standalone? I read all the posts and instructions I'm still not sure because on the conflicting two comments (#29 in upgrade FAQ):

These drives only boot correctly in a TivoHD/Series3 after the power plug is pulled. These updated drives will not boot at all in the Series2.

and

For newly built Western Digital "Green" drives that exhibit this issue, TCF member drey discovered a method to disable the Intellipark feature on these drives, thereby making them fully compatible with the TiVo

Thanks in Advance for any help.

The drive expansion and upgrade FAQ

has grown beyond its Series 3 roots, and you should probably post your question there as well, where, I suspect, it is more likely to attract those who can give you the answers you need.

And of course for anyone considering a SATA drive in an S1 or S2, the

"List of SATA to PATA (IDE) adapters, please add yours" thread

http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=416883

is absolutely required reading.
