I started to use the search feature for this forum and did not get very far, so I thought I would post my request in hopes some one could share their insight into this delimma.
I have had 2 series 2 Dtivo's (HDVR2's) for 4 or 5 years now. I upgraded one of the reciever's HD's when I first got it with A 120 gb HD i purchased from Weaknees.

Would any one mind giving me A rundown of possible hacks or enhancements I might be able to preform on these boxes.

I am particulary interested in losing the phone line connection for one of these units and still being able to use it without problems.I won't have an internet connection for it either.

Also is there and way I can transfer shows between 2 of these reciever's HDs?

I used to visit these forums years ago ond remember the people here as some of the most helpful.

but, as to your questions, if you hack your tivos (zipper is an automated tool for doing so), 2 of the benefits are: no nag screen if your tivo isn't able to call home (so the phone connection is really unnecessary), and enabling MRV xfers between the boxes (show transfers initiated from the tivo UI, as long as you network them using compatible usb network adapters)
