This morning I was watching a recording from last night ! About half way through it stopped, the blue screen appeared with the message (No Signal) I shut it down, unplugged it,wated 5 mins plugged it back up.The blue screen came on with (Scanning) for about 5 seconds, then the (No Signal)appeared again.I have never had a problem with this 4 year old unit. I have the lifetime subscription. Any advice ?thanks.

Two of my three TiVo's did that this morning after they were updated over night with new software 9.1. I hit some button the the remote and got the message that new software was installed, I okayed the message and it went into its start-up routine involving the TiVo guy and then to the TiVo Central screen. All my channels were back to normal.

I think this involves the new software update. It had to finish the reboot to get the channels back. Its a way to let you know you have something new on your TiVo.

My third TiVo would have done that also if the start up hadn't involved my universal remote that calls for the Tivo Central screen in the when it turns on the TV and the AV receiver.

You didn't say if everything returned to normal or not. There's another screen that says their is no signal and to change channels to try to get it back. I usually get this if the cable goes out or is disconnected.

Thanks for your response, maybe there is nothing seriously wrong. However I have pushed ever button on the remote, with nothing happening yet. I will continue to turn it on and see what will happen,it did record my 4pm program, don't know if i will ever see it or not.

Try to old stand by of a restart. Pull the plug, wait a few moments and plug it back in. That seems to do wonders at times.
Yeah" I thought so to. I have tried that several times, still dosen't reset,as it has in the past. Thanks for your response, and concern. The only ,time I have ever tried to contact support,I almost fell asleep waiting for a live person.
