Saturday Night Live

I keep hearing there will be a new episode where everyone is in a different location. I checked tonight's episode and it is listed as a rerun with a specific host and musical guest.

However, I heard on the radio this morning the new episode is definitely happening tonight.

My guide is showing a new SNL tonight, but at 10pm (vs normal 8:30) and only an hour. Justin Timberlake. The thing that makes me suspicious is that there is usually an hour rerun on at 10pm. The current guide is showing it as new with OAD of 4/11/20.
I have Saturday Night Live at Home for the episode title at 11:30 ET.

The corona virus is pushing TiVo’s (and others) ability to keep up. They are doing better than i expected.
Guess I'll have to do a connection again. I did that this morning around 8am and nothing. My crappy IPTV DVR box (thorugh cable company) did update to reflect that (they use guide similar to Tivo including the descriptions but I cant force a connection to that ;))
did a force connection and it did update properly with a NEW episode
I have the Justin one at 11:00 EDT but the "new" one at 11:30 . Make sure you look past the first one
I forced an update and now I see the new SNL at 11:30 PDT. It's possible I didn't look that at that late time when I checked earlier because usually SNL is on at 8:30 on the west coast. So I don't know if my manual update this morning fixed anything or not. Whatever the case, it appears correct.

Didn't know they showed it at 8:30. What do they do with the rest if the Saturday lineup on nbc?
Yikes. Despite what the Tivo guide and the Comcast guide say, SNL is on right now, that's 8:30 pm on the west coast.

I don't know what is on NBC on Sat night elsewhere. Here (west coast), it's something unremarkable at 8, the main SNL at 8:30, then an hour long repeat SNL at 10, then news etc.... I've never watched the one at 10 so I don't know how they get it down to one hour.
The new one is at the regular time, and Host is Tom Hanks. All new skits from home. My Tivo failed to record it, which is no surprise.

They show the "best" bits that the host was in, Weekend Update and the first performance of the music act
The SNL Home Edition was definitely one of the better "Home Edition" shows I've seen so far. Typical high production values on top of the typical poor quality home video. Bravo to the post editors and all the others involved in the lots of work this obviously took to put together.

Normally only one music performance is shown, but when Tom Petty died they showed one of his episodes with both musical performances.

"Weekend Update" often shows obvious signs of being edited.

When I checked last night it said the Timberlake episode was a recent one but when I watched it said March 9, 2013.

I looked at upcoming episodes and the description for the 11:30 episode had changed and it said it would record.

So they skip the rest of the Saturday night lineup. Interesting. Especially since the 10 pm showing (we get that on the East coast too at 10) always says the material was presented later at night originally as a warning.
Tonight there is another "at home" episode. I checked and it is supposed to record for me.
