I know the Netflix implementation on Tivo needs a serious overhaul, but despite its limited functionality and poor looks, it should at least work correctly.
When I have 10 or 15 minutes to fill, I often want to choose a random SNL episode to zip through and watch the good parts. Netflix seems to have grouped decades together now and for some reason, the Tivo seems to be maxed out at 100 episodes so many (MANY) episodes are completely missing.
Sure, I can do a search for the host's name and usually find a specific episode listed at the bottom of the search results, but this is hardly the same as browsing a list of episodes available and choosing what I want.
It's annoying that I have to turn on the Xbox 360 to easily get to the episode I want.
I'm writing this in hopes that someone has solved this problem and can let me (and everyone else) know how.
You should probably find one of the netflix threads that discusses and explains how the 100 episode cap works and how to get "missing" episodes displayed on the list.
I didn't realize this was a problem with lots of different shows. I DID search for Saturday Night Live before posting this message but didn't find anything like what I was looking for. I found the Netflix 100-episode thread you suggested and while it's clear the "problem" hasn't been solved, at least I'm not the only one suffering.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
