SAT-T60 can ping and FTP but not telnet or http

since i can't telnet, I can't get tyserver to run. this setup worked fine at one point, and to my recollection I haven't changed anything. TivoWebPlus is installed. I used Instant-Cake to set the whole thing up and am using a buffalo network wireless adapter.

any idea why i can ftp but not telnet?

okay, the problem was that my netready file went missing. actually it seems like my whole var directory was overwritten since my tivowebplus folder is gone also. and idea what would cause that?

i have telnet access back now.

The var partition is about the equivalent of the window's recycle bin. The tivo WILL destroy and rebuild it from time to time if it becomes too full, or if the tivo thinks it found a problem there. Try to keep your hacks somewhere else to avoid this in the future.
