S2DT noisier than S1?

Has anyone else experienced an increase in seek noise between the S1 and S2DT?

Thie past weekend I took the 300GB Samsung HD300LD out of my Sony SVR2000 and put it in my new S2DT (using MFSLiVe). When it was in the S1 the only noise was a low hum. That's still there, but now I'm hearing quite a bit of seek noise. It's inaudible when I'm watching something, but a little annoying at 4 AM. (More annoying is the original WD was basically silent.)

I'm 99% certain I enabled AAM when I put it in the S1, and I didn't change it when I did the upgrade. I'm wondering if part of the problem is the dual tuners are writing to different partitions and MFSLiVe's "optimize" isn't correct for the DTs.

Could it be the DT works the drive harder?

Don't blame it one MFSLive Linux Boot CD. I did not change anything in that part of mfstools so it's same as mfstools 2.0

Dual tuner has dual buffer so that might be the cause of extra disk activity.

Also, drive will be noisy for few days due to indexing that needs to be done.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you had broken anything. However, I was thinking the dual tuner TiVos (S2DT and S3) may have a different access pattern than the older TiVos, which might mean the "optimized" partition layout could be contributing to the extra seeking.
go to http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/utilities/Support_HUTIL.html and download the utility HUTIL hook the drive up to a PC and from utility menu choose Acoustic Management to lower the noise level. These drives are set for Maximum Speed which is not needed in a Tivo.
Other than the increased seek activity due to the additional recording stream, the S1 drive bracket has vibration dampers while the S2 bracket does not.
