Royal Pains "But there's a Catch"

I watched this last night. I enjoyed Hank's bit of creative McGyver and the subplot of the gardener.

I wondered how a busy doctor like Hank could suddenly put everything down to play a couple days worth of football. I was shaking my head over that. And the guy playing again after getting his hand/arm messed up just the day before. How is that safe? I mean, getting cleared from the hospital to do stuff doesn't necessarily mean you are cleared to play football. I figured it meant clear to go out to dinner or drive a car or normal everyday things. What was Hank thinking? But if he hadn't hurt himself again, Hank wouldn't have noticed the problem and been able to refix it.

What does Page have to tell Evan? She's preggo? or maybe she has to leave town to take care of a dying father?

I think its the dieing father. Her being pregnant would mean Evan is not the Dad, and I don't see her being that way. Dieing dad would explain why she was gone all summer.
I'm thinking Paige's father is involved with a major scandal. Remember the secret meeting of her father and his cronies that Evan overheard while he was in the hidden room?

Maybe Paige's father will end up in the same prison as Evan and Hank's father. :)
Divya, the "overaccesserized" Indian is getting quite an education. Lucky that Evan is there to get her a HankMed credit card, and a (company?) car to replace what daddy took away. As was asked previously, she WAS being paid, but she was not cashing the checks. She is going to have to live within her means now.
I hope Evan is going to be actually looking at the credit card reciepts and not just letting some new pretty earrings be counted as medical supplies. It's too bad they couldn't let her suffer a bit and find her way in the world and learn how to deal with getting new car on her salary and such. Oh well. It's just a tv show.
A used Range Rover is going to consume her paychecks in repairs.
She must have a lot of money in the checks that she didnt cash. That should help her out.

But Paige seemed to say that her issues were somehow medical when Hank asked her.

He was medically cleared before they even had his lab results. WTF?
I really hate that the last 30 seconds of the show is getting presented in squashvision as if it's an old Law and Order episode.

Even my wife commented on it, and she is usually does not give a crap about SD/HD/picture quality/etc.

They seem to be doing this a lot lately on USA network.....Comcast's influence? Probably to sell ONE more 30 second spot.

The other annoying thing they are doing this year is this live Twitter thing based on something going on in the show. I forget the one in this episode, but it was something about what Divya should do. Really distracting and annoying. I don't mind the occasional bug, but they are starting to take things too far.

On the episode.....I guess Jill is going to hang around a bit. Not sure what the point is of that. I guess we'll see. No Cuban lady this week. I kind of disagree and I think that Paige is preggers, and not with Evan's baby. I think that's why she kept delaying coming home. I think this either writes her out of the show...and Evan toward Divya, or Evan man's up and take responsibility of the baby...something like that. I didn't like the plot this week. I thought it was weak and really full of holes

Still love the show though.

I think Paige made the main credits thus far this year. Last year she was just a guest credit.

God I hope they don't go Evan towards Divya. I HATE Divya. Anything that gives her more screen time is a bad thing to me.
I hope they don't go Evan towards Divya either. Please NO!!!!

Though it does seem he is being a lot more interested in her and her situation and helping her out then Hank does. Bleh.
I don't think Paige will be pregnant. Especially with somebody else's baby. That's just way too soapy. If anything, I'd bet more on her finding out she's unable to get pregnant.
I probably don't want to know what anal scissors are for.

Divya hasn't cashed any of her paychecks? Wouldn't some of them have expired so far?

I normally like Divya but she was a total a-hole to Evan even if he was as obnoxious as he was in season 1.
I think it's fairly obvious Paige is pregnant with someone else's baby*. Evidence:

1) When she returned in the season premier, she was obviously happy to see Evan, but also showed anguish over how much she knows he loves her.
2) At the beginning of this episode she was acting all hyper and moody.
3) At the end of this episode, there was something medical she wanted to discuss with Hank, but didn't when Hank told her he didn't want to be in a position of keeping an important secret from his brother, she changed her mind.

Individually, none of those conclusively point to anything. Together, it really points to her being pregnant.

*I reserve the right to change this statement if I am proven wrong. :D
Paige didn't look as attractive in this episode (IMO, obviously). Maybe because she was so downcast for much of it as opposed to her normal upbeat bubbly self...
I also like how the title is "there's a catch" and it worked on all three plotlines. The football guy, Divya and her parents and even with Paige - the catch is she wants to tell Hank but can't...

Good observations, but in the end I'm not sure a lightweight show like this pays that much attention to detail.
