Odd, he mentions Comcast, Directv, but doesn't mention RCN. Maybe RCN rollout isn't as good as they had hoped? Would of expected some spouting of RCN numbers.

Not odd at all. 99 percent of the audience has never heard of RCN.
I hope Tivo ventures back into the HTPC Market. I love the fact that I can have my Windows PC and DVR in one which is why I use WMC. If Tivo could make software for the PC that could be as good as WMC or SageTV(And not like Nero Liquid TV), it would be something I would be willing to pay monthly for.
reporter "how do you become the Apple of set top boxes" :p

It's doubtful since there is not much of a market for that these days.
She asked him, when are we going to see Comcast TiVos all over the country and not just in San Francisco. He changed the subject and said TiVo is just not focused on the US they are looking at expanding globally. I guess he didn't want to say "never". This guy needs to go.
Not to defend him, he wouldn't be able to answer that though. That is something only Comcast would be able to answer.

yeah, he would have to give the canned reply of "ask comcast" he did better to get to a useful topic.
Frankly the 2 reporters were very light on the subject of DVRs and TiVo inc. Most any 2 folks from this forum would have asked far better questions that could provide some real answers

As I would expect. Reporters, news anchors and hosts can't be very well versed in most topics they cover. They just don't have the time to come and browse the forums before an interview. ;) Odds are the have never used a Premiere.
Tom Rogers, needs to get lost and open up a law firm!

Needs to take the long walk off a short pier and open up a law firm!

Needs to become a dentist and open up a law firm!

Need to embrace this and open up a law firm! :D
Embrace this.

of course, just noting they were light on the subject and thus the questions were pretty broad and that flavors the interview into a fluff PR piece to a large extent
TiVo is an option now where I live.
