I don't know when this started, but it appears that for both the IOS and TiVo Online I can no longer stream from my Roamio Basic. I was able to stream from this TiVo for both the iPhone app and web browser as recently as about a month ago. I can stream directly from both my TiVo Bolt and TiVo Roamio Pro, but the Roamio Basic just wants me to launch shows from a streaming service. Did TiVo change something on their end on how a Basic borrows the Stream from the Pro?

Maybe the app is stuck with the BOLT as the streaming transcoder? I was able to stream from my Roamio OTA (out-of-home) just now, but we only have a couple Roamio Pros, both running TE3.

What if you first stream something from the Roamio Pro?

I think I have it working, finally.

The issue is trying to stream a paused show. I first need to find a show on the Roamio Basic that isn't paused, go to the screen to play it and then back out and go back to the paused show. Then it works. Definitely weird.
