I have a Roamio Pro that was having guide issues, basically a lot of missing information and "To Be Announced". I have a ton of recordings from different series on the unit. I forced a few manual connections and that didn't fix the issue. I then proceeded to select the clear guide data & to do list(CGD & TDL) and the Roamio got stuck on clearing the data screen. I let it run overnight and it didn't fix it. At this point I started to research and found multiple threads saying the CGD & TDL can brick the tivo and that appears to have happened on mine.

Here is what I have done to try and save it:
1) Downloaded MFS Tools

2) Did a drive copy with no streams to a smaller drive, stuck the smaller drive in the tivo and it had the same issue.

3) Did a drive copy with all streams (took about a day) to another 3 TB drive, stuck it in the Tivo and it has the same issue.

4) On the 3 TB drive with the copy of the original I tried the following Kick Starts:
1. Kickstart 57 - Causes green screen of death(GSOD), then restarts, loops GSOD
2. Kickstart 58 - Said it is updating the software, let it run for 2 hours, then restarted
3. Kickstart 52 - Didn't do anything as far as a could tell, went into GSOD loop

5) I finally did a Kickstart 76543210 which reset the entire thing which brought me to guided setup but all of my recordings and one passes are gone. The Roamio works again but I really want my recordings.

I have my original drive with the CGD & TDL brick issue still in case someone else has any suggestions on what to do.

It would be awesome if I could copy my streams from the original drive to the new drive(on the same Roamio) using some type of software but from my research it appears that isn't an option?

Any help or suggestions are welcome...

Have gotten the same problem. Was going to try what this person did but now in reading this I will not. I have noticed that on one channel that shows no announced data that a week further in the guide it starts to show information. When will Tivo fix this "know issue"?

Since it only seems to affect TE3, don't hold your breath.

The guide is only 8 days. After that it's a boilerplate. I have had guide issues fixed within 3 days for "close" data, but it never affects the following week.

I am doing the guided setup right now. We will see if it fixes the issue. Did not change the zip code or anything else for what is normal. If this does not work then I need to change to a different zip code and cable provider and then go back again and see if that clears the "to be announced" listings. Wonder if other DVR services like those that Xfinity uses have the same problem...from what I hear some of Xfinity locations are using Tivo bozes.
As I was writing this my guided setup was done and low and behold it fixed the "to Be Announced" issues!!! Yippy!!

Just in case, tvguide.com and tv.com both use TiVo for their data. I look at them for a second opinion when something is wrong. For accurate guide data I use zap2it.com since it uses Gracenote.

That only applies to data for the next 8 days. After that it's TiVo's stored data. I know that on my guide MSNBC will/is TBA starting 7/28. On the second Saturday my guide will always show TBA for MSNBC. I don't care enough to spend the time fixing it.
