Roamio/no data/can not connect

My Roamio(Plus) has run out of data and will not connect. After a long phone call on Saturday trying every solution suggested, I was told to call my provider. Then I recalled my
(often unused) Roamio basic is connecting fine; I called back TiVo and was now told there is a known problem with Roamio and a fix was in the works, “please be patient”.
I can not find any mention of similar problems here. Any idea which of my phone calls yielded the truth? Calling Xfinity feels like such a long laborious process and further- if my other box is connecting- how can I demonstrate to them the problem is on their end?
Thank you.

Did you try manually connecting and watch where it fails?
If you have working internet service in your home it's not an Xfinity problem. Most likely a connection between the Roamio and your Router. What does the network information sho in the Roamio Plus? If no connection try a different Ethernet cable if that's how you connect.

Wireless connection.
A number of things can interrupt a wireless connection. Such as interference, a microwave running, cordless landline phones.

Thank you, but it is none of the above. I connected an ethrnet cord as I was advised last week when I started to call Tech Support, and same result.
If you are connected, the network setting should show the IP address, etc.
