Odd scenario that I think is caused by using apps like Amazon/Netflix/etc. if we watch and then don’t back out to the TiVo menu at some point the TiVo drops output. Still records but just no HDMI output (haven’t tested component). This time it restarted on its own but sometimes I’ve had to unplug.

Any ideas? And more important any fixes (other than nagging my wife to back out of Netflix etc when she’s done)?

What do you have the output resolution set to on the TiVo? You might try setting it to a fixed output if it's not (1080p or 1080i).
