Roamio gets channels - Mini does not

This one is baffling to me. My Roamio in the living room gets all of my authorized channels. The Mini in the bedroom is connected by Ethernet. I can watch shows recorded or being recorded from the Roamio, on the Mini, but when I go to Live TV, I get "Channel Not Authorized" messages on every channel, including network. Also, there is a V58 warning.
This does not seem logical at all and my troubleshooting brain is at a loss. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Try changing the Resolution Output of the Mini.

It's also remotely possible you have an old cable card that can't decode multiple streams. The Mini only borrows a tuner from the main Tivo, and it's that tuner that's not authorized. Last resort would be to replace the card with a new one (and endure the hassle of unpairing/re-pairing).

Uncheck Auto and select fixed numbers one at a time.

To test the tuners perform a restart on the host. When it's finished, use the Live TV button to cycle through all the tuners. They should all be the same.

Bingo! That did the trick. Brilliant! I set it to 1080I.
Can I ask how you came to that conclusion?
Experience?

HDMI is NOT your friend.
