Got it
For the cost of adding a cable card to the Roamio you can have live TV on it as well as streaming all the content from the Bolt. In addition, you can use the Roamio to record additional programs. Maybe use the two Tivos to separately record your programs and your spouse's programs.i have upgraded to Bolt devices from Roamio devices. My question is can I use the Roamio device as a stream device to watch live TV in another room by linking/connecting to the Bolt device?
I am using a MoCa network
I have connected the Roamio device to the network and all 3 devices are seen on each device as I can watch previously recorded shows on any device. Now I want to view live TV on the Roamio device or am I stuck buying a TiVo Mini?
Already have 2 Bolt boxes with lifetime Tivo service so we already keep our recordings separate. Not really wanting to pay for tivo and cablecard service from spectrum to have live tv in another room. I think a mini would be much cheaperFor the cost of adding a cable card to the Roamio you can have live TV on it as well as streaming all the content from the Bolt. A Mini is very cost effective. Plus, if all you're doing is live TV, streaming won't be a problem. I would look into used A93 or A95 boxes: Buyer/Seller AreaAlready have 2 Bolt boxes with lifetime Tivo service so we already keep our recordings separate.
