Hi,

Just set up my TIVO for the first time.

Output via SCART is excellent, however output via RF is very very fuzzy and unwatchable.

I've got a cable RF feed coming into the RF in, initially I had some problems with sound on terrestrial channels (via RF) however this seems better now I've improved the connections.

However, the RF Out is so bad, I've tried many different channels to ensure there is no overlap but had no luck.

Is my RF module boken? Can it be replaced?

ANy help would be appreciated.

You say you've tried many channels but on US TiVos, there are only two RF output options - channel 3 or 4, as set by a switch in the back. To use RF, your TV needs to be tuned to the same channel that that switch is set for.

I would use an RF connection as a last resort anyway since even when it works, it's the lowest quality signal. You might also want to try the UK forum since UK TiVos are different. (They have those mysterious SCART connectors for example. ;))

It is possible that the RF modulator has failed, but if the SCART connection is working why bother with RF?

BTW, I believe you should have asked this question in the TiVo UK forum.
