So Daniel didn't bite the bullet after all. Where the hell was he that whole time? It seemed like there was a lot going on and he just disappeared?

I have to assume that Amanda killed him but Daniel will take the wrap for now. She was still loyal to Emily despite her little act. When Tyler told her that Emily killed Frank, she clearly knew that Tyler was out of his mind and didn't know the facts.

Great show. Great dresses! :D

Darn we have to wait 2 weeks for the next episode...
I think it had to be Amanda or someone other than Daniel. If Daniel had shot him, perhaps he would have gotten some random backsplash of blood on him. The blood on him was too neat. Almost as if the bullet passed through Tyler and then a neater splotch of blood got on Daniel.

Regardless, I thought it was a very good episode. I did not "call" this happening but in hindsight I had an inkling that something was up the way the camera angle was on the arm that fired the gun in the opening shot.
I think it was Jack that finished Tyler off. I don't think Daniel did it, but I think Daniel knows who finished Tyler off.

I think Amanda is done for. Her getting picked up by the Sensei, I have a feeling Emily (the real Amanda) won't see the fake Amanda again.

I also think Daniel is about to change big time. Who knows what Tyler told Daniel about what was in the little box after they panned away. I have to say that I hope this means that Emily and Daniel are not getting married. I wasn't really looking forward to that, it always felt wrong to me.
At the beginning of the episode, it showed Daniel face down in the sand. His face was visible, and it sure looked like Daniel to me.

I'm thinking Tyler bonked him on the head with the gun, Daniel went down, then Amanda showed up and shot Tyler. Then Jack showed up.

Daniel will have amnesia from his bonk-bonk on the head and be suspected of Tyler's murder, and that will allow Emily to play out her plan for a bit longer.
FWIW, a few weeks ago the showrunner said that while in some regards they've been adjusting course as they go, the person who was shot is the person who was always going to be shot.

There's a major spoiler article in TV Guide next week too. I think they even have it on their TV Guide web site already. But, there's some major spoilers in it so don't read it unless you want to know what's going to happen.

Oh and I have to say I never thought for a second that Amanda (real Emily) took the box. That was way too easy. I also didn't think that it was Tyler. I thought he was out of the show. Well, he's out for good now! :)

Then why does the little sister run up saying the brother is dead. At least roll over the body or have her say there is a dead body on the beach.
Daniel was knocked out and did actually fall to the ground, that was who we saw at the beginning of the show falling to the ground.
Fire and Ice indeed.

This is a pretty well crafted show. At least it's darned entertaining.

You would think that now that the whale camera is known to so many people, Nolan would get a new one.
I think it was predictable in the fact that something had to happen to Daniel. Things were moving too fast with him and Emily, and something had to slow that momentum.

I also fear that they may waste a bunch of episodes on a trial, which isn't really what I want to see in the show.

Like his death? The fact that they moved so fast didn't make me think twice. I was expecting him to die since episode 1. I was trying to not like him since I thought he was going to die. I really didn't like him in the first few episodes. The he started to grow on me and I suddenly didn't want to be the one to die. I really hadn't given Tyler much thought. I figured he was out of the picture for now.
I called Tyler being the dead one shortly after he was introduced.

Tap tap tap...testing 123...is this thing on?
I knew they couldn't kill Daniel off - as soon as they showed Tyler was back I knew it was gonna be him.

I wonder if her Japanese teacher had anything to do with the events on the beach - he seemed to know a lot, and was even there to spirit "Amanda" away after the fact.

In any case - do you think this was "Emily's" real plan all along? To have a beloved member of the Grayson family accused of a murder they did not commit, and then help to get them convicted? That would be appropriate revenge considering what they did to her father.

I think it's clear she is in love with Daniel. He isn't the one she would want to see convicted of a murder he didn't commit. I think she squarely puts the blame for her father on Victoria's head.... maybe her now x-husband too, but most of that blame, it's clear to me anyway, she holds for Victoria.
But the best way to hurt Victoria is through her son - clearly the only person in the world she really cares about (other than herself).

And while Emily cares for Daniel, I think she is still in love with Jack.

How could fake Amanda have killed him? She did not have a gun.
She was just kneeling besides the body.

Of course, that's exactly the time Jack comes running up the beach and sees her and makes the assumption that she shot him.

Also, the Sensei had real/Amanda's box. This means he (along with Nolan) was tracking or following Tyler and fake Amanda. What part did he play in Tyler's shooting?

In other news, what the hell is going on with Charlotte? Did you she her taking Oxycondone and washing it down with Alcohol? I'm not a doctor, but can't that have some real bad side effects (like death)?

I think the show opened with Emily narrating about "losing control". This was definitely not part of her plan.

I am really unsure of what the Japanese guys motivation is. I have a feeling he plays a very big role in the big picture.
