Is this season winding down already? Damn Gina Gershon is one sexy dame.

wow.. well color me impressed, one of the 2 lost Gavin children was mentioned..

Dad mentioned Rosemary while he and Tommy were talking in the bar.
(no word on the long lost Timo however)
I forgot what happened with Rosemary? Also why did Tommy make a bunch of saves but didn't want anyone to know about it?

My guess was he did it so that Cunningham wouldn't lose his job.
I thought it was to avoid the situation he saw in the opening dream.

Oh that could be. Was it the same building?
Gina Gershon stole one of my favorite sayings!!!

"I'm bored. Take off your pants."

:)

I have a couple thoughts on why: He didn't want any of that crew to get in trouble. He didn't want the Chief to find out since he's on thin ice with him already about being dangerous. Tommy really doesn't like the spotlight.
btw......I can't describe how much I hate every scene with Tommy and his daughter!
I'm shocked that this was on last night and there's only 8 replies. I mean, I know we are timeshifters and all, but jeez...

I still feel bad being critical of my favorite show, but this episode was non-eventful, again. From the opening moments, it was pretty easy to tell that Tommy was having some sort of dream again.

The Chief's daughter reminds me of a girl I know. Seriously.

The finale better pay off big time.

I agree. Just those scenes should be a "What never to do as a parent" documentary.
I'm a big fan but it's losing me. It's just not interesting. I was patient for the season expecting it to go somewhere but it's not going anywhere. Just like the Sopranos for me. Characters you are attached to, moments of greatness, but struggling to maintain a compelling story.

btw: I've been using "sold the baby" instead of "jump the shark" as suggested.
What new storylines have been introduced this season? It seems like everything is just a lackluster continuation of last season's leftovers.

Let's see, the new chief? Continuation of the chief killing himself. Tommy's firefighter squeeze (or his new quick-to-please hottie)? Just more of Tommy's sexual difficulties. Sheila and the baby? More leftover's from last season.

What new plotlines are there? Black Sean? The chief's daughter? Lou's new ebony enchantress? Blah. All pretty lame if you ask me. It's like the writers are phoning it in.

Out of curiosity, why did you put an apostrophe there?

Hmmm...I don't know! Doesn't really make sense.

I'll fix it. Usually my post's are better than that. ;)
Let's just end the series after a great finale and remember the good times!
If I ever buy the series DVD, I will be skipping season three. This is (was) one of my favorite shows. The only two shows I try to watch live are Rescue Me and Lost.

So sad to have a great season one and two, only to have it go no where in season three.
I started watching 10:30 Wednesday and just finished 15 minutes ago. Not exactly "must see TV" anymore.

You do realize that the current season is the fourth, right?
As I was watching this today I was thinking about it. I don't know that I could pinpoint the "sold the baby" moment, but in my recollection this show was about firefighting/firefighters and there were side stories about the quirky people and situations that were done amazingly well and were shocking/funny (whichever was appropriate for the scene). Now it seems the show is lost in the quirky people and weird situations and there is little to none of the firefighting aspects. And the side story scenes just aren't as good as they used to be at all. Sure, some are pretty funny (the 'who would you hit' bit, etc.), but overall there seems to be just a lot more bleh (except, of course, the afrementioned Gina Gershon!).
